Chili Cook-Off Scheduled to Support Land Conservancy

Soloman March 25 2019

Chili and a tiny island in the Caribbean typically do not go hand in hand, but on April 28th, they will!

The St. John Land Conservancy is holding its 3rd annual Chili Cook-off on Sunday, April 28th. The event will be held from noon until 9 p.m. at Rhumb Lines in Coral Bay (the former Indigo Grill and Donkey Diner spot).

Organizers are looking for chili cook-off competitors, judges and event volunteers. They’r also looking for vendors to sell items in the Vendor Village, as well as business and individuals who like to donate items to the silent auction.

And just because you are not a resident does not mean you cannot enter. Visitors are also welcomed to participate.

The St. John Land Conservancy is works to protect the island’s natural and historic land and resources, allowing free public and recreational access by the people of St. John and its visitors. It accomplishes this goal by using donated funds to purchase private land and by entering into conservation agreements with landowners providing for permanent land preservation.

If you would like to participate or if you would like more information on the event, please email [email protected].

And in case you missed our announcement yesterday, St. Johnopoly is scheduled to ship next week! Order your copy today and bring a little St. John into your own home! You can order your copy by clicking the Buy Now button below. It will bring you to a secure PayPal page.
