New Restaurant Set to Open Soon

Shambles is set to open next month.
Shambles is set to open next month.

Hello everyone and happy Monday! We have such great news to share with you all today! Dave, of Driftwood Dave’s, is set to open a new restaurant … how wonderful is that!

The restaurant is going to be called Shambles “’cause I was left in Shambles for 18 months trying to find a place to rebuild,” Dave told us last night. It’s going to be located around mile 2 on Centerline Road, adjacent to St. John Repair Shop and just after Paradise Lumber if you’re coming from Cruz Bay.

Dave plans to make most of the food items from scratch including pizza, burgers, ribs and several vegan selections. He also plans to have a salad bar and a large selection of to-go foods.

Shambles will feature a large outdoor bar with both barstools and swing seats (how fun!). They will serve draft beer, which isn’t the norm here, as well as “yappy” hour specials.

Dave also has plans to build a hydroponic farm next door called Living Roots, so it truly will be a farm to table experience. The vegetables grown at Living Roots will also be available for sale.

Dave hopes to open sometime next month. We will keep you updated on his progress. In the meantime, have a great day everyone!

  1. We will be back to St. John at the end of May and looking forward to visiting your new restaurant Dave! Because who really wants to cook when you are on vacation! Good luck!

  2. So very excited! Love Dave and loved Driftwood Dave’s. So sorry your life has been in shambles. Cant wait to visit Shambles – your new restaurant. St John strong! You’re amazing. We will be there in a couple of months. I hope you still have the key lime pie too. Yum!!!

  3. We are soooo excited and can’t wait to see your new restaurant, Shambles Island Bar & Grill! We will be back the middle of May and your place will be our first, second & last stop on our list. We sure hope you have those Corvina fish sandwiches too because you spoiled us on those while at your Driftwood place. We loved that key lime pie too.
We can’t wait to see you again and I think I have another lei for you!
Good luck and we wish you much success with your new place. Glad you are still on St. John. Our trips there wouldn’t be the same without several visits to your place. We always have sooo much fun! See you soon!
