News of St. John is Holding a Raffle!

ardisia pool view

Ardisia is a brand new, five bedroom, luxury waterfront villa in Great Cruz Bay.

Earlier today, we introduced you to Ardisia, a brand new, five bedroom waterfront villa located in Great Cruz Bay. It’s a pretty incredible place, one I’m sure many of you would love to stay at. Well guess what? You can for as little as $25 because News of St. John is holding a raffle!

Quality health care is a big deal here on St. John, so we’ve decided to help our friends over at the Island Health and Wellness Center once again.

The Island Health and Wellness Center is a nonprofit primary care practice here on St. John. It provides a much-needed service for the island as the majority of our residents are uninsured. Most visits cost just $50; however the center will see anyone regardless of their ability to pay.

The center was instrumental following last fall’s hurricanes. Its offices were nearly destroyed, but that didn’t stop Sandy Colasacco, the center’s founder and executive director, from treating patients. Rather than seeing them in the traditional manner, she made house calls and treated patients wherever she could from the grocery store to the Westin. In addition to traditional health care services, the center is now offering mental health care several times a week, another much-needed service following last fall’s storms. The Island Health and Wellness Center is such an integral part of our community, and that’s why we’ve decided to support the center yet again.

Now let’s discuss the raffle!! Honestly, this may be our best one yet…

For just $25, you can enter to win a five night stay at Ardisia (the stay is good for up to six guests), roundtrip airfare for six people on JetBlue, a Best of the BVI boat charter with Palm Tree Charters and a trio beautiful St. John bracelets courtesy of Krall Designs. The winner will also receive a pretty swanky gift basket upon their arrival which will include items from several local businesses. (This raffle has a value of more than $11,000.)

J Hook, St. John Map and the Bad Sisters bracelets

Tickets are just $25. There will not be a limit on entries, as we are trying to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause.

The raffle period ended on June 16, 2018 at 9 a.m. EST

All entrants will receive a confirmation email from PayPal after purchasing your ticket. Because of the expected high volume of entries, we cannot personally email each entrant. Your email from PayPal will serve as your confirmation of entry into the drawing.

How the drawing works: Once the entry period is over, we will personally write the names of each entrant on a raffle ticket. If you bought one ticket, we will write your name on one ticket. If you bought two tickets, we will write your name on two tickets. And so forth… All of the names will be placed into a secure bucket/basket. Once all of the names are written on tickets, we will draw the winner live on video. That video will be posted on newsofstjohn.com

The raffle period will end on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 9 a.m. EST. The winner will be announced on newsofstjohn.com on or about June 20, 2018.

Want to share this raffle on your Facebook page, or with your family and friends? If so, please direct them to www.newsofstjohn.com/raffle

We would love to return to your beautiful island. We were just there in April 2018. We never even went to Coral Bay side :( I regret that so much. We have been to your island many times in the past and always leave with plans to return. My husband is in EMS & has been for over 30 yrs. We feel this is a wonderful Center that needs ALL the help they can possibly get. We support everything about it. We also give all are left over’s to the local fire station to disperse as they see fit. They are very grateful. More so since the hurricane.
Thank you for this opportunity to return to the island that we love.

If you would like to purchase any of the bracelets, they are sold at @Caravan Gallery, available on line or the store located in Mongoose Junction. Island Health and Wellness is a most worthy organization and last month Caravan Gallery made a donation of $270.00 from the sale of the “Bad Sisters” bracelet. Thanks for organizing this raffle @News of St. John!

Would love to be able to revisit with my family. My Mom passed away on Maho Bay on August 23rd, 2009 while on vacation. A piece of my heart will always be there. ❤️

I’m sorry but we only sell tickets via PayPal. That way we can collect all of the money electronically and do not have to handle cash.

JetBlue flies into St. Thomas daily via San Juan. So you will have to have a layover there.
