Another great update today, folks! La Tapa plans to reopen tonight!!
Alex promises a mini menu, mini wine list, a mini staff, mini operational hours, but maxi excitement! And knowing Alex, we know it’s going to be amazing!
The restaurants currently open in Cruz Bay are Cruz Bay Landing, Island Cork, Banana Deck, Extra Virgin Bistro, Rhumb Lines, Lime Inn, Dog House Pub, Uncle Joe’s BBQ, Hercules and Sun Dog Cafe. Freshwater Church is also serving free lunch at The Fish Trap daily from noon to 1 p.m. Out in Coral Bay, Indigo Grill, Wok on the Beach and Oasis are all open.
It’s pretty exciting to see the progress that’s been happening here over the past eight weeks. We still have some work to do, but we’re excited to start welcoming you all back when the time is right.

It’s great to see the progress after such destruction. We were happy to see La Tapa, The Quiet Mon and especially Chelsea & Richard at the Lime Inn. Hope to return to St John in March and meet you then.

Great news, our first restaurant meal in St John was at La Tapa, pork belly, yum. May you all successfully continue on this journey to recovery. We are thinking of you all.

Oh so happy LaTappa is open. Alex has been so nice to us making us her wonderful tuna tartare even when she didn’t have it to offer on the menu. We love this place and the people who run it.
