No Blizzard Here! But Great Travel Deals!

To all of our friends who read up North, I just want to start by saying I’m sorry. We hear you’re on the verge of getting so pretty brutal winter weather up there, so we wanted to help warm you up with some great travel deals. Here are a few things we found for you all this morning…

Boston friends – You look like you’re going to take the brunt of Winter Storm Stella along with our other southern New England friends. Well there’s good news for you because we found roundtrip airfare for just $399 on JetBlue traveling for six nights on March 20th. Not a bad way to escape the end of winter if you ask me…

New York, it looks like you’re in the heart of the blizzard warning. Most importantly, please stay safe. Once you dig out, you can visit your favorite slice of heaven for just $421 round trip on March 29th. That’s on Delta, my favorite airline, and it’s direct which is always a bonus.

Let’s look a bit West, shall we? How about Kansas City? You folks have to pay a bit more to get to paradise, but not too much. For $514, you can fly roundtrip on March 29th and land just in time for happy hour.

Houston, you all have direct flights on United now. But it’s going to cost you … more than $1,000! Ok, let’s move on…

How about our friends in Central Florida? Looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Spring Break? You can fly for just  $331 roundtrip on March 27th.

Now I know what you’re thinking, sure the airfare is cheap, but what about accommodations? Well that can be relatively inexpensive too. Take Cruz Bay Hotel, for example. They charge just $235 a night in high season and $190 after May 1st. St. John Inn is another great option. Its rooms are $250 a night in high season and only $180 in low season. And the great thing about both is that they are located in town, so you don’t need a car. You don’t even need to taxi if you’re really looking to save some money. Just take the Lind Point Trail from behind the National Park Visitors’ Center and you can easily visit Soloman, Honeymoon or any of the beaches at Caneel. Win-win right there!

So where there’s a will, there’s a way. Heck, I’ll even rent out my second bedroom to the right guest! Kidding of course. 🙂

As always, I use Google’s Airfare Matrix to find all of these great fares. And when you’re searching for airfare, don’t always search roundtrip. Oftentimes you can get better deals by booking two one-way tickets.

Happy travel planning, and again, please stay warm and most importantly, safe if you happen to be in the path of this storm. Have a fantastic Monday everyone!
