We get some pretty incredible boats that sail through the waters around St. John, so you know when pretty much every boat captain you know posts pictures online of a boat that’s been lingering around the island, it must be cool. Well that what’s been going on around here the past few days since a boat named Adastra has been in the area.
Adastra is a striking 42.5 meter trimaran that won an award for its naval architecture back in 2013. According to Adastra’s website, the vessel has “covered 14,000 miles in the ocean and has proven herself to be a very comfortable and exceptionally fuel efficient ocean going vessel. She can travel at a comfortable 17 to 20 knots in most conditions, and has weathered 50 knot winds and seas up to 4 metres. She is incredibly stable and comfortable, and rolling is virtually eliminated by the outriggers.”
