Villa Spotlight: Affordable Luxury in Chocolate Hole

Garden Outdoor Living Space
Today we’d like to tell you about a vacation suite that’s super cute, very unique and new to the rental market. It’s an adorable one bedroom located in Chocolate Hole and it happens to be owned by great friends of mine – Brittany MacNealy and Robert Gonzales. If Brittany’s name sounds familiar to you, it’s because she’s one of the best Zumba instructors on the island. But today let’s talk about their great rental…

Located on the lower level of Down Yonder villa, this one bedroom garden suite features a king bedroom with en suite bath. It has a separate kitchen/living area with a futon couch plus an amazing outdoor space that features an oversized deck, tropical fruit gardens and native stonework. The home is well equipped with wifi throughout, a washer and dryer is available to all guests, and the bedroom features a new high-end split-unit A/C. For those of you who enjoy modern conveniences, it also has a Keurig coffee maker in its well equipped kitchen and a Weber grill on the outdoor deck. The home boasts a private entrance and large parking lot.

To cap off this wonderful home’s features, it also has water views over Chocolate Hole and out to French Cap.

  1. Looks like a nice little spot with a couple sweet amenities (outdoor living area w/ TV, Weber grill). Reasonable rates, especially in the offseason at $175/night. We’ve had great times staying at the Boutique Hotel (similarly priced depending on season) given its convenience and proximity to Wharfside and Mongoose, but if you’re the jeep-renting type, this seems like a great option.

Nice to see more affordable options popping up around the island! Every $3 saved is a “free” drink at Joe’s during Happy Hour! 😉

  2. I visited Island Abodes and became concerned about the paucity of interior pictures for some properties (e.g., the “penthouse”). Even with attractive pricing who wants to book a dump or sketchy place sight unseen?

  3. looks beautiful and a great deal to boot. The kitchen is all you need, especially with a barbeque outside. Most people don’t cook much on vacation anyways.
